A Fresh Perspective

As a woman owned and green building company, we bring a unique perspective to our projects, as well as a different approach to interaction with customers in construction. In an effort to make the construction process transparent, our job procedures include:
  • clear communication through one point of contact for each project (project manager)
  • pre-planning meeting before construction begins to make sure all subcontractors and crew are

familiar with the job and client needs

Ensuring that our clients fully understand our process makes our style of business stand out above the rest.

Our Crew
Our crew specializes in carpentry and walls (drywall installation, framing) but are very handy and can do most finish work, fixture & flooring installation - even landscaping. We have a solid base of subcontractors, and are willing to consider new subs if they are interested in learning about green, and are licensed and bonded.

Company History

27 years ago, Dale Nielsen started this construction company after many years as an engineer in the Army, Army Corps of Engineers and the Peace Corps. In 1995, he asked his Daughter, Barbara Egger to take over with his long-time foreman & and together they grew the company from a retirement hobby into a $5 Million a year business. Recently, Barbara bought out her partner and brought on her daughter Nicole Tai. Nicole, with a degree in Conservation Resources from UC Berkeley and Community Development from UC Davis and experience in the green field, will develop the new green direction of the family business for the future. We look forward to many more years, and growing into an environmentally and socially conscious company of which Dale would be proud.
